Naga Chaitanya to play journalist in his debut OTT series

Love Story and Bangarraju have given Naga Chaitanya two back to back hits and have put him on a hot streak. The latest update is that the actor will be seen next as a journalist in a web series, marking his OTT debut. 

Reported by Times of India, the web series, which will be produced by an OTT platform, is touted to be a thriller. The show will see the actor play a never before role, and he is also working on his physical appearance for the series.

Reportedly, Naga Chaitanya will play a role with multi-layered idiosyncrasy, while he plays a journalist. Now, in the talks is Chaitanya's makeover, which he has been preparing to bring in for his latest role. 

Priya Bhavani Shankar will be the female lead in the show, and the show will have three seasons according to reports. Other reports also suggest that with each season having around 8-10 episodes, it will also deal with time travel. 

The show is helmed by Vikram Kumar, who has previously directed the sci-fi thriller 24 and is currently working with Chaitanya on the romantic comedy, Thank You . While there has been no official confirmation about the project yet, Chaitanya and Kumar are expected to start working on the pre-production soon. 

Naga Chaitanya had two releases in 2021, with Sekhar Kammula’s romantic drama Love Story co-starring Sai Pallavi and Kalyan Krishna Kurasala’s supernatural film Banggaraju co-starring Akkineni Nagarjuna both becoming hits. 

The actor will also be seen next in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which is the remake of Forrest Gump and is currently in production.
