Nagarjuna Akkineni unveils the trailer of ZEE5's next Telugu original Oka Chinna Family Story

OTT platform ZEE5 is aggressively promoting its next Telugu original, Oka Chinna Family Story, that's set to release on November 19. Directed by Mahesh Uppala, the show features Sangeeth Shobhan, Simran Sharma, Naresh, Thulasi in key roles and is produced by (actress) Niharika Konidela under Pink Elephant Pictures. While the teaser and the character promos of Oka Chinna Family Story were launched in the previous week, Nagarjuna Akkineni unveiled the trailer of the the feel-good dramedy on Monday.

The trailer takes the audiences through the trials and tribulations of an aimless, lazy youngster Mahesh, who hails from a middle-class background. His father Haridas is increasingly anxious about his son's future, while the mother Rukmini tries to support the latter at every given opportunity. The family, left shocked with the sudden death of Haridas, has to also repay a debt of Rs 25 lakh that he had left behind. 

Despite dealing with a relatively dark theme, Oka Chinna Family Story is filled with life-like conversations, humour and underplayed drama. The director chooses to look at the plight of the family in a lighthearted vein. The humour comes along effortlessly with the Telangana slang. The ensemble cast, with the presence of budding actors including Sangeeth Shobhan, Simran Sharma, Getup Srinu and veterans like Naresh, Thulasi, Rajeev Kanakala, promise to add their charm to a fun-little outing.

Oka Chinna Family Story is created by Mahesh Uppala and Manasa Sharma. Raju Edurolu has cranked the camera for the original, with Prawin Pudi handling the edits. Shreemani has penned the lyrics while PK Dandi has come up with the music score.
