Nagarjuna is having an eventful, busy 2022. He's had two releases for the year already - Bangarraju and Brahmastra and both turned out to be money spinners at the box office. While Bigg Boss Telugu has been keeping him occupied lately, his third theatrical release, The Ghost, hits screens tomorrow. Sonal Chauhan plays the female lead in this Praveen Sattaru directorial that also features Anikha Surendran and Gul Panag. Ahead of the film, the star spoke to the media today.

"The Ghost comes with a lot of family emotions revolving around a sister and a brother. The story is about the challenges that an Interpol officer takes up to save his sister's family. I always like novelty and Praveen Sattaru has taken every effort to present the film stylishly. I was pleasantly surprised by the final result. I never knew that an action film could evoke so many emotions in a viewer. The climax fight set amidst a church is one of the major highlights," he shares.

Though Nagarjuna has done many action films in the past, he wanted to do a slick film that had a solid emotional core too. He particularly liked how Praveen Sattaru handled the action segments in PSV Garudavega. "I called him and asked if we could work on an action film. The Ghost was written keeping me in mind. I underwent training for a few weeks before the shoot. I am glad we promoted the film aggressively, The Ghost deserved that push."

He particularly praised Praveen Sattaru's attention to detail and said that he takes a lot of time for his homework and comes with a perfect strategy to shoot his films. "The pre-production process was very smooth. Only because of that we could finish the shoot in just 66 working days. As a filmmaker, Praveen has a lot of clarity," he applauded the National award-winning filmmaker.

The actioner will be clashing with another biggie, Godfather, on the same day and the Soggade Chinni Nayana star says there have been umpteen instances where two huge films have released on the same day and emerged successful. "Audiences will watch both the films if they like it. Shiva had released on October 5 and Ninne Pelladutha came on October 4 many years ago. The Ghost is releasing tonight in the US and tomorrow in other parts of the world - these are wonderful coincidences."

He gave another reason for audiences to cheer as he hinted at the re-release of Shiva's remastered version soon. Nagarjuna opines digitalisation is a trend that's much necessary these days and his studio is working on digitalising multiple projects. He has plans to do another action film soon and is in talks for a web show too. An official announcement about them is expected shortly.
