Much like his 2022 Sankranthi release Bangarraju, Nagarjuna is ensuring that his next film - Naa Saami Ranga - wraps its shoot on time and arrives for the first major festival season in 2024. Ashika Ranganath plays the female lead in the rural entertainer that marks the directorial debut of choreographer Vijay Binni. Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, Mirnaa Menon, Rukshar Dhillon play crucial roles as well.

While Naa Saami Ranga is confirmed for a Sankranthi release, the official release date of the film was revealed by the makers today. The Nagarjuna starrer will be the last of the biggies to hit screens during the festive weekend; the film will release in Telugu globally on January 14, 2024. That’s not all, the film’s title track will be launched later today, with the makers sharing a promo as well.

MM Keeravaani, who last composed for Nagarjuna in the devotional drama Om Namo Venkatesaya, scores the music for Naa Saami Ranga. Meanwhile, the title track appears to be a peppy number, with Allari Naresh and Raj Tarun too grooving alongside Nagarjuna amidst a group of crowds and festive fervour. Naatu Naatu fame Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj have crooned the number.

Chandrabose, who has always excelled in films that unfold in a rural backdrop, is the lyricist. The full version of the track will be out at 4.05 pm today. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada, who was to direct the film initially, has written the story and dialogues for Naa Saami Ranga. Srinivasaa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, the banner that backed films like Custody and Skanda this year, produces it.

For the unversed, Naa Saami Ranga is touted to be the Telugu remake of Joju George’s Malayalam hit Porinju Mariam Jose. Shivendra Dasaradhi, who’s also part of team HanuMan, is cranking the camera for the film while Chota K Prasad is the editor. DY Satyanarayana is the art director with the likes of Ram Laxman, Venkat and Prudhvi choreographing the stunts.
