The makers of Nagendran's Honeymoons, an upcoming Malayalam web series, are gearing up for its digital premiere this week. Disney+ Hotstar will begin streaming the comedy drama on July 19. This project, which is starring Suraj Venjaramoodu, will be released in Malayalam as well as Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi on the same platform.
The comedy web series will soon be available for streaming on the popular OTT platform, according to a recent announcement.
Disney+ Hotstar has been promoting a lot of original content lately, especially Malayalam content. The well-known OTT platform began the season with the Malayalam web series Kerala Crime Files, starring Aju Varghese, and proceeded to Master Peace, starring Nitya Menen, last year. Then came Perilloor Premier League, starring Nikhila Vimal and Sunny Wayn, in January this year. Pharma, helmed by PR Arun, is one of the upcoming Malayalam series on Disney+ Hotstar.
The director of Nagendran's Honeymoons is Nithin Renji Panicker, who helmed Kaval and Kasaba. In significant roles in Nagendran's Honeymoon are Grace Antony, Kani Kusruthi, Shwetha Menon, Alphy Panjikaran, and Niranjana Anoop. Nagendran's Honeymoons has the following supporting cast- Janardanan, Prasanth Alexander, Ammu Abhirami, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Ramesh Pisharody.
In the trailer for the web series, a young, unemployed man named Nagendran marries five different women under various aliases. It is unclear why he made this move. Overall, it seems to imply that the hilarious fallout from these marriages will continue to be a part of the show. Watch the web series once it's available digitally to find out which one Nagendran would choose to be his life partner.
The recent updates about the show hints at it being a hilarious comedy about marriage frauds. To appeal to a wider audience, the show's original name, Madhuvidhu, which translates to "honeymoon” in Malayalam, was supposed to be changed to Nagendran's Honeymoons last month, in a poster unveiled by the makers.
