After being away from the limelight for a while, Mallika Sherawat has decided to come back. The popular actress recently announced on social media that her upcoming web series Nakaab will hit the OTT platform this month.
What is the MX Player show Nakaab all about?
Touted as a crime thriller-cum-drama, Nakaab will revolve around the story of an investigation into the death of a popular actress. Esha Gupta essays the role of the no-nonsense policewoman and Gautam Rode, her partner, who are assigned to the case. They suspect that there is something more to death than what meets the eye. Sherawat plays a sophisticated TV producer with a dark side, who becomes the subject of scrutiny due to how close she is to the deceased star and the former’s scuttling behaviour post the shocking death. The trailer for the thriller hints at criminal lords at work, along with drug mafia leaders and human traffickers.
Directed by Soumik Sen of Gulaab Gang fame, the show will mark his digital debut and first-time collaboration with the trio of seasoned stars. The show will be available for streaming in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Marathi.
