Nakuul Mehta-Anya Singh kickstart Never Kiss Your Best Friend season 2 shoot in London, share photos

Nakuul Mehta and Anya Singh, back in 2020, teamed up for the ZEE5 original series Never Kiss Your Best Friend, based on the book of the same name. After a successful first season, the series has been renewed for its sequel. ZEE5 took to their social media pages and announced the exciting news with two photos featuring Nakuul and Anya. Both are seen with a very fresh and happy look in the photos. 

While sharing the post, ZEE5 captioned it as "Can't keep calm! Filming begins for another season of "Never Kiss Your Best Friend" to answer the quintessential question that everyone is dying to know: Can you be friends with your ex? # NKYBF Season 2 coming soon on @ZEE5 "

The eight-episode web series picks up where the last season left off. Tanie and Sumer, played by Anya and Nakuul, respectively, are two best friends who once dated and are now forced to reconnect after a lengthy period of separation in season two. 

In a statement, Nakuul stated that in an era of action thrillers and complicated dramas, a slice-of-life story about friendship and growing up was what initially piqued his interest in Never Kiss Your Best Friend. The actor revealed that they are back in London filming the new season, and he is looking forward to reuniting with Anya and an all-star cast to continue the franchise on ZEE5.

Anya shared that what began as a slice-of-life show became an experience she will never forget, not only because of the wonderful memories she was able to make but also because of the affection that people showed for Never Kiss Your Best Friend. The actor revealed that it's only because of that love that they are returning two years later to have new experiences while reliving the nostalgia of season one with her BFF Nakuul and a new family.

Talking about the first season of the series, Tanie (Anya) and Sumer (Nakuul), two best friends, struggle with their conflicting feelings for each other when they reunite after five years apart. Prepare to be moved by this heartfelt tale that rewrites the rules of friendship.

Never Kiss Your Best Friend season two will stream on ZEE5 early next year, directed by Harsh Dedhia and produced by 11:11 Productions.
