There have been many shows and films which have been based on romance set against a college as a backdrop. At the same time, there have been many other shows as well which had ‘bro-mance’ as its main stay. The just dropped teaser of Amazon miniTV’s Namacool seems to be a proper mix of them both!
'Jab saath honge do Namacool yaar...'
After dropping the show’s teaser on social media, Amazon miniTV captioned the same stating, ‘jab saath honge do Namacool yaar, toh kya hoga Lucknow ka haal? dekhiyega zaroor kyunki laa rahe hai yeh Ishq, bawaal aur bhaukaal! Namacool, Coming Soon, only on Amazon miniTV for FREE’.
Series is about two of 'college ke draamebaaz’
The said series is about two best friends Piyush and Mayank, who are best known as ‘college ke draamebaaz’. After the introduction of these two ‘quintessential’ characters, there comes a ‘slapfest’, which they get treated to by their respective fathers.
The teaser then, ‘teases’ the audiences to situations which are ‘ishq, bawaal aur bhaukaal’, which also happens to be the tagline of the super exciting series. Amidst everything, there is also the stunning Hina Khan (who looks more stunning than ever before in a saree), who, we assume, is a teacher in the same college where Piyush and Mayank study.
One just cannot deny the fact that, the one look at Hina Khan’s character does remind the audience about the sizzling chemistry teacher played by Sushmita Sen in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Main Hoon Naa’! The role played by Hina Khan, however, remains a mystery as of now, as the makers have not revealed anything more about her and her character!
As for the series Namacool, it stars a host of actors besides Hina Khan, in the form of Abhinav Sharma, Aaron Arjun Koul, Anushka Kaushik, Abhishek Bajaj, Faisal Malik, Aadil Khan, Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar. No sooner did the teaser got dropped, there were many netizens who took to comments section and expressed their love for it.
Most of the comments were for Hina Khan and her presence on the show! While one netizen wrote, ‘Hina Khan ki khubsurti’, there was another who wrote, ‘OMG Hina Khan looks gorgeous, looking forward to this only for her..’ Besides these, there were many terms which were used by the netizens in order to praise her beauty!
The series has been directed by Ritam Srivastav, who had earlier displayed his directorial abilities in show projects like Maternity Blues, Taanashah and Raktanchal. Besides that, Ritam Srivastav, also has to his credit of having directed the Bollywood film Rafuchakkar, which starred Maniesh Paul, Priya Bapat and Aksha Pardasany in the leading roles.
The release date of the series is, however, yet to be announced. Watch this space for developments.
