Nandish Sandhu, Meiyang Chang join Undekhi season 2 – here’s all you need to know

Sony LIV’s Undekhi is all set for season 2 and just days ahead of the show’s release, there is a new update on the cast members. TV actor Nandish Sandhu and singer-actor Meiyang Chang have joined the show in the capacity of supporting actors. While Nandish’s character is still kept under the wraps, Meiyang plays the role of Abhaya.

Meiyang spoke about joining the show in a press statement. He explained how the actor in him is greedy to play characters of different shades and Undekhi season 2 offers him that opportunity.

While describing his character Abhaya, the actor said that he is someone who was once on the side of darkness but moved towards redemption. “I had a lot of fun working with the entire cast of Undekhi; a good mix of seasoned and fresh performers, and an all-round fun-loving gang,” he added.

The series is one of the earlier shows on Sony LIV which received tremendous success. It is based on real-life incidents and showcases the two sides of society, one being the power-drunk influencers who believe they can get away with anything and the other being those who are oppressed by them. The latter are subjected to torture for years at an end and finally, decide to bring justice to themselves.

Starring Surya Sharma, Harsh Chhaya, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ankur Rathee and Anchal Singh in the lead roles, Undekhi was a sleeper hit back when it released in 2020.

The second season is helmed by Ashish R Shukla. Applause Entertainment has backed the crime-drama series which can only be viewed on Sony LIV.
