Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee tell unique stories through their films. This time, the duo will portray a real story. A few months back, the news of Ariadaha's notorious criminal Jayanta Sinha was in the headlines. Barrackpore Police's SP Srimanta Banerjee was the mastermind of this operation. His life story will be shown on the screen.

Nandita and Shiboprosad have been planning to make the film for the last 12 years. The film, Bohurupee, is based on a true story, covering from 1998 to 20005 in West Bengal. The story is based on a significant heist that happened in West Bengal at that time.

At that time, Srimanta Banerjee played a crucial role in handling the situation. Bohurupee is his biopic.

Shiboprosad told media, “Srimanta was Bengal's own 'Singham'. He was afraid of no one. He fought any injustice that he saw. Abir will play him on screen. Abir's name will be Sumanta Ghosal.”

Abir plays a cop here. How did he feel? The actor said, “When a real-life character is portrayed on screen, the preparations can be done in one of two ways. Either you talk to the person whose biopic it will be and prepare yourself like the person, or prepare yourself according to the script.”

Abir took the second alternative. He first read the script and then met Srimanta Banerjee. Then he portrayed the role with his acting. How is Srimanta as a person? Abir said, 'In a nutshell, he is a colorful character. He is not like the others. It takes a lot of courage to maintain a life full of risks for a long time.'
