Nani on Dasara: I don't want to repeat myself, will not do a commercial film for some time now

Nani is super thrilled with the way his new film Dasara is faring at the box office. He met the press today and spoke at length about the film's success, the reception he is getting, and future projects. Dasara was Nani's dream project as it was made on a budget of over 40 crores which is the highest ever in his career. The film had to click and now that it has, Nani says he always knew Dasara would be big.

When asked about when he would do a commercial cinema again, Nani is very clear and says "I don't plan anything and believe things should happen by themselves. I only ensure I don't repeat myself and I would not do a mass film like Dasara in the next few years for sure". Nani played Dharani in Dasara and has a terrific transformation which has been loved by one and all.

When asked about the film's response in the north, Nani does not beat around the bush and accepts the fact that the collections are dull but the word of mouth is increasing. "I am not Amitabh Bachchan for people to throng the theaters. I am aware of the collections but the film is doing exceptionally well in the areas we targeted and I am super happy about it," says Nani in a very confident tone.

Nani also says that his new film with debutante Shouryav will be showcasing him in a completely new avatar and will be a heart-touching emotional drama. On the other hand, Srikanth Odela directed this film which had Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. Deekshit Shetty also played a key role in this film which was produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri.
