The makers of the film had earlier released a press statement signalling their intention to go in for a digital release for the film and Nani had also weighed in on the same. In his statement, the Telugu heavyweight had said that he was very keen for a theatrical release as the film should be enjoyed on the big screen in full glory, the pandemic had brought about unprecedented pressure on producers due to restrictions and that he had to empathise with their situation.
The film’s release, initially scheduled in April, was also delayed due to the pandemic. Described as a family drama, Tuck Jagadish will see Nani acting alongside Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jagapathi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Nassar, Thiruveer, Rohini, Devadarshini and Naresh. The film is directed by Shiva Nirvana, who has films like Ninnu Kori and Majili under his belt. Under the Shine Screens banner, it is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi.
