The Telugu star let out the exciting news of his upcoming masala flick’s release on his Twitter handle today

Nani fans were at the receiving end of some much-awaited news today. The multitalented Telugu star's film Tuck Jagadish will drop on Amazon Prime Video on September 10. The streaming giant and the actor announced on their Twitter handles today. The makers decided to forgo the theatrical release following the influx of COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, adding to the long line of films that have opted for an OTT premiere.
The announcement featured a promo from the upcoming film, where we get to see a glimpse of Nani’s intense character, Jagadish Naidu challenging someone for a face-off. The short clip is suggestive of the drama and action that the makers have promised with this film.
The makers of the film had earlier released a press statement signalling their intention to go in for a digital release for the film and Nani had also weighed in on the same. In his statement, the Telugu heavyweight had said that he was very keen for a theatrical release as the film should be enjoyed on the big screen in full glory, the pandemic had brought about unprecedented pressure on producers due to restrictions and that he had to empathise with their situation.

The film’s release, initially scheduled in April, was also delayed due to the pandemic. Described as a family drama, Tuck Jagadish will see Nani acting alongside Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jagapathi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Nassar, Thiruveer, Rohini, Devadarshini and Naresh. The film is directed by Shiva Nirvana, who has films like Ninnu Kori and Majili under his belt. Under the Shine Screens banner, it is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi.
