Nani30: Nani goes paragliding to announce the title, first glimpse launch date of his father-daughter drama

Nani scored one of the biggest hits in his career this year with the pan-Indian release Dasara, the rustic action entertainer, directed by newcomer Srikanth Odela, now streaming on Netflix. His next is a tear-jerker, an emotional father-daughter drama to be helmed by a debutant Shouryuv. Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead in the film that also features Shruti Haasan, Niharika Konidela in crucial roles.

Tentatively titled, Nani30, the drama is slated to hit screens for the Christmas weekend this year and the shoot is progressing as per schedule to meet the release deadline. Sharing a surprise update about the film today, Nani shared a video where he goes paragliding to announce the launch date of the title and the first glimpse - July 13.

Was Nani also hinting at the film’s backdrop with the video? We’ll know soon. Hello Daddy, Dear Daddy are the titles under consideration, 123Telugu.com had reported this week. The film is being shot amidst scenic locales in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Coonoor. Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Vijender Reddy Teegala are bankrolling the film shot on a lavish scale under Vyra Entertainments (first production), while Koti Paruchuri is the COO.

Sanu John Varughese ISC, who also worked on Shyam Singha Roy, is the cinematographer of the much-awaited project while Kushi-fame Hesham Abdul Wahab is the composer. Praveen Anthony is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer respectively and Satish EVV is the executive producer. While Nani has reportedly okayed Vivek Athreya’s next film and will also work on Sailesh Kolanu’s Hit 3, the timeline of the projects is yet to be confirmed.

Nani30 (release on December 21) will be locking horns with Saindhav, Venkatesh’s action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu, which will be out on December 22. Pawan Kalyan’s OG may be a surprise entrant in the same season and one can expect changes in the release dates of the above-mentioned movies if the former wraps its shoot as per plan.
