Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal release date: Joju George and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s film to hit theatres on this day

Mollywood looks to kick-start 2025 on an exciting note as several films have lined up for release in January, including Tovino Thomas and Trisha Krishnan’s Identity. Now, another Malayalam film Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal has also announced its release date, joining the list of movies hitting the big screens next month.

Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal to release in January 2025

Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal, starring Joju George and Suraj Venjaramoodu, is all set to hit the theatres on January 16, 2025. The film, written and directed by Sharan Venugopal, appears to be a family drama. The title literally translates to Narayani’s three sons, and will narrate their tale. The film revolves around an ancestral home and family in a village. The film is said to narrate the events that unfold after the youngest son, who had been away from the family due to certain circumstances, returns to his home.

Alencier Lopez will also appear in a key role in the film along with Sajitha Madathil, Sarasa Balussery, Thomas Mathew, and Garggi Ananthan.

The film is produced by Joby John Thadathil, under the Goodwill Entertainments banner. The banner had earlier backed the popular Kishkindha Kaandam, which starred Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, and Vijayaraghavan in lead roles. The mystery thriller film garnered much praise from critics and audiences and was a commercial success too at the box office.

On the other hand, Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal’s lead actor Joju George was last seen in Pani, which also marked his directorial debut. The noted actor had also written the action thriller film, which had a good run at the box office. Pani is yet to make its OTT debut, though some reports have said that the film is likely to release on SonyLIV on December 20.

Meanwhile, Suraj Venjaramoodu has another movie ED - Extra Decent, which is set to release in theatres on January 10, 2025. The film, touted to be a comedy-drama, is jointly produced by Suraj and Listin Stephen, under their production banners Vilasini Cinemas and Magic Frames.
