Many Malayalam films made their digital debut this week. Narivetta, starring Tovino Thomas, is one of them. It is now streaming on Sony LIV as well as OTTplay Premium. In an interview with OTTplay, the director of the police thriller, Anuraj Manohar, discussed his choices of screenplays and upcoming movies.

Anuraj expressed his desire to be recognised for the films he has directed, highlighting his lack of interest in fame. "I did not intend for my two films to be six years apart. In between, I turned down projects that were offered to me because I was not intrigued by them". However, he added, my dream projects also suffered delays during that period. "I want to work on scripts that have a significant impact on me," the young filmmaker said. "I don't have a particular affinity for any genre; rather, I am inspired by compassionate stories that deeply influence me, he continued.
He continued by saying that his wife, who is a journalist and one of his closest friends as well as critics, offer a feminine viewpoint on his screenplays or films. Shekhara Varma Rajavu, starring Nivin Pauly, and a film with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role are among Anuraj's next projects.

Prior to working on Narivetta, the director stated that his goal was to make a good film that would leave a lasting impression on viewers. "It contributed to the box office success and all of these favourable reviews. After a 50-day run in theatres, I am also happy that the movie was a financial success for the producers," he continued. According to Anuraj, Narivetta is about a group of people fighting for a valid reason, and not only did people suffer severe injuries during the police gunfire that took place during the protest, but nature also suffered severe harm. "All I wanted to do was convincingly portray this heart wrenching story," he stated.
