The 2025 Malayalam film Narivetta, starring Tovino Thomas, is all set to make its digital debut nearly two months after its theatrical release. The gritty Malayalam thriller, which revolves around a tribal protest and the subsequent police action, will be available for streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium.

Tovino Thomas-led Narivetta, which released in theatres on May 23, 2025, will be making its streaming debut on SonyLiv on July 11, 2025. Narivetta, directed by Anuraj Manohar, will also be available for streaming on OTTplay Premium. More details on whether the Malayalam film will be released in other languages are not known as of now.

Narivetta cast and plot
Apart from Tovino Thomas, Narivetta also stars noted actor Suraj Venjaramoodu and Tamil director-actor Cheran in other key roles. Tovino is seen as CPO Varghese in this film, as he, along with his team, heads to Wayanad, which has been witnessing agitations by tribals who are protesting against the delay over allocating land to them. After the State action, the tribals clash with the police, sparking more trouble and tension in the area. The film follows the protest, the police action and how the cops, particularly Varghese, grapple with their conscience, amid rising tensions. Abin Joseph has penned this hard-hitting film.
In the female cast, Arya Salim is seen as CK Shanthi, an activist. The film also features Priyamvada Krishnan as Varghese’s love interest.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas' Narivetta had released in theatres along with Dhyan Sreenivasan-starrer Detective Ujjwalan. Currently, there is no update regarding Detective Ujjwalan’s OTT release.

SonyLiv has been acquiring several popular Malayalam films. Naslen-led Alappuzha Gymkhana made its big OTT release in June. Basil Joseph’s Pravinkoodu Shappu and Maranamass were also added earlier this year. All three films are also available on OTTplay Premium, along with Dileep’s Prince and Family.
