After his previous film, Super Zindagi, came out, Pranav said he had no idea what to do next. At that point, the makers of Narivetta released a motion poster. "I reposted the post because it caught my attention with its cast and genre but I assumed this project was finished. The casting director called me ten minutes after I uploaded the poster, took my details, and scheduled a one-on-one meeting," he stated. The actor continued by saying that prior to being chosen for the part, he performed out a scene that the director, Anuraj Manohar, had given him. "Since I share screen time with some excellent performers like Tovino, Cheran, and Suraj Venjaramoodu in this movie, I couldn't afford to make any mistakes," Pranav said.

'Turning point in my career'

Additionally, he discussed how the role in this gritty thriller gave him with the exposure he needed for his film career. Pranav stressed that it is difficult to obtain a chance to play a character that is based on a real person, and he spent three weeks traversing with an Adivasi community before filming. "I concentrated on giving Thaami my all and emoting appropriately to leave an impression on the audience that would last. The language was my biggest obstacle, but a person from the same group named Prasad helped me," he stated.

Before filming his roles, the young actor observed the everyday activities and mannerism of these people. He also praised the movie's makeup and costume departments for their work and attention to details on Thaami.
