National Awards 2023: Ranbir Kapoor turns fanboy, captures Alia Bhatt as she wins best actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi

Alia Bhatt won the National Award for the best actress for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Proud husband Ranbir Kapoor turned her fanboy and captured the moment she was honoured. He accompanied the actress to the 69th National Film Awards which took place on October 17 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

Alia Bhatt wins an award for Gangubai Kathiawadi

Alia Bhatt was honoured the best actress award for Gangubai Kathiawadi. President Droupadi Murmu conferred her with the award. Donning a translucent saree with pearl choker and hair tied in a bun, Alia was captured getting the National award. Gangubai Kathiawadi is the story of a woman who is in the adult profession. The film touches upon her bravery through the obstacles she faced on her path to having an identity of her own.

Ranbir turns fanboy

Ranbir Kapoor turned Alia’s fanboy and captured her as she got the award. He also got captured doing that. Ranbir promptly got his phone out as his wife got the award and like a good husband, he captured every moment that she walked the stage and out of it.

Ranbir joins Alia for the awards

Ranbir went to the National Awards as Alia’s biggest cheerleader. He went to support her win through his physical presence. Ranbir even flew Alia down to Delhi on his private jet from Kalina airport. Karan Johar, who collected the award for his movie Shershaah, also joined them on the ride.

Alia shares award with Kriti Sanon

Apart from Alia, Kriti Sanon won the best actress award at the National Awards 2023. She was conferred for her performance in Mimi, a story about an IVF mother who is forced to become a single mother owing to her decision to give birth to a baby belonging to someone else.
