As mentioned in IndiaWest, speaking about short films, the actor and producer of Natkhat, Vidya said that now quality short films are being made in India. “Our audiences now embracing this form of storytelling, it gave us the confidence to take this leap,” the actress concluded.

The 33-minute short film features Vidya as a mother of a young kid. She notices her little school-going son Sonu (Sanika Patel) is gravitating towards evil thinking of the society and decides to educate him through story telling.

Recently, talking about her films in Bollywood, Vidya spoke to Filmfare and said that for her the subject of the film always matters. “I wanted to do it because I loved it. So, if it means my career will be short, be it,” she mentioned about choosing her projects in the past.

Vidya was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video’s Sherni as a forest officer, Vidya Vincent. The action-thriller film explores topics like climate change and wildlife conservation as well as deals with the conflict between humans and wild animals. Sherni was released to positive reviews in June 2021 and it also features Sharat Saxena, Vijay Raaz in key roles with Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala, Neeraj Kabi and Mukul Chaddha as supporting characters.
