Naveen Chandra: Happy for Eleven's OTT success but word of mouth came too late

Eleven is Naveen Chandra's new film, which failed at the box office. Released on May 16, 2025, the film was out of theaters in under a week as other popular films took over. Well, the film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Aha, to rousing word of mouth.

In no time, Eleven has become a talking point and was even trending on Amazon Prime's top ten list. Now that it has landed on the Telugu platform Aha, the response has only grown.

When asked about the same, Naveen Chandra spoke emotionally about the film. "I am not a star. For my films to get good word of mouth, it takes time. By the time everyone came to know that Eleven is a good film, it was out of theaters. That has been the same issue with many of my films, as they end up doing well on OTT and fail at the box office," said Naveen Chandra. 

Eleven is a crime thriller written and directed by Lokesh Ajls. It also has Reyaa Hari as the female lead and is set in the city of Vizag. The twists and turns in the cop drama are being liked by many. 

Naveen Chandra also adds that Eleven is a special film, and he is a bit sad that the film did not get its due in theaters. "Only if films work in theaters do you get wide recognition. I am happy that Eleven is doing well on OTT, but we made the film for the big screen," adds Naveen.

D. Imman has composed the music for this film, and his background score has come in for a lot of praise. Naveen Chandra is a terrific actor and has proved himself in several films. His performance in Eleven is one of his best, but as the film was not promoted well and did not get a wide release, it went unnoticed. 

Popular actress Abhirami also plays a key role in this film, which is about a series of murders in the city of Vizag and how a cop, played by Naveen Chandra, cracks the case.
