Naveen Polishetty, one of the rare actors to be enjoying popularity among Telugu and Hindi audiences equally, is gearing up for his third release as the male lead in Telugu cinema. After scoring consecutive successes with Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya and Jathi Ratnalu, his next is Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty alongside Anushka Shetty, directed by Mahesh Babu P.

At the trailer launch, the actor spoke of his experiences working with the team. Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty is an entertaining drama surrounding the complications in the relationship between two people, he said. “I, Anushka and UV Creations been waiting for this day since two years. I was tensed about picking the right script after the success of Jathi Ratnalu.”

Audiences are encouraging new stories and they deserve something exciting, he stated. “I was very impressed with the story. When I asked the team about the female lead, I wondered if they were referring to ‘Baahubali’ Anushka after all. I was sailing in the ship in my dreams.” Naveen called her a brilliant actress and expressed he was very excited to work with her.

The chemistry between the characters is crucial to the film and this is the director Mahesh’s passion project, Naveen shared that the entire team has solely focused on this film over two years. While asking audiences to watch the film in theatres on September 7, he spoke of a moving incident where he found immense love from Telugu audiences.

“A critical patient had watched Jathi Ratnalu thrice to deviate herself from pain and said she forgot all worries once she met me. This love is priceless. I may not have a Godfather but so many audiences are backing me as if I belong to their family,” he thanked crowds.

The screenplay is novel, it is a clean, modern entertainer that’ll appeal to youngsters and family crowds, Naveen mentioned. He said Krishna as a child had the gift of making people happy wherever he went. On Krishnashtami (September 7), we hope to be the little Krishna spreading joy in your lives, he added. They’ll be starting a promotional tour soon and Anushka will be joining as well.
