Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is gearing up for two back-to-back releases - Sudhir Mishra-helmed drama film, Afwaah, opposite Bhumi Pednekar and director Kushan Nandy’s rom-com Jogira Sara Ra Ra, with Neha Sharma - is all praises for Kangana Ranaut - the producer of his upcoming film Tiku Weds Sheru.
Speaking in an interview recently, the Gangs of Wasseypur actor said that he has not seen a better producer than Kangana, who used to create a good atmosphere on the set with her positive thinking.
Dubbed a romantic drama and a dark satire film, Tiku Weds Sheru marks his first collaboration with the Thalaivii star. “I have not yet seen a better producer than Kangana Ranaut. She used to create a good atmosphere on the set with her positive thinking. Everyone used to feel an affinity. There is no doubt that she is one of the best actresses in our country. As good an actor as she is, she is also a good producer,” Nawazuddin told Amar Ujala.
Produced under Kangana’s Manikarnika Films, Tiku Weds Sheru also marks the film debut of television actress, Avneet Kaur. Written and directed by Sai Kabir, the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video later this year.
Meanwhile, Kangana is also working on her next directorial venture, Emergency - starring Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman and the late Satish Kaushik. Inspired by the 1977 Indian Emergency, the movie will feature Kangana as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Apart from this, she will also appear in Tejas, Chandramukhi 2 and The Incarnation: Sita.
Nawazuddin’s Afwaah is set to release on May 5, while Jogira Sara Ra Ra will hit the theatres on May 12. The film also stars Sanjay Mishra and Mahaakshay Chakraborty. Nawazuddin also has Haddi, Adbhut and Noorani Chehra in his kitty.
