Nawazuddin Siddiqui on working in Jogira Sara Ra Ra: 'It is a family film and not something I usually do'

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to be back on screen with Jogira Sara Ra Ra opposite Neha Sharma. Talking about the upcoming comedy film, the ace actor shared that it's not something that he usually does and the audience can watch with family and friends, unlike his most projects. Directed by Kushan Nandy, the anticipated film also has Sanjay Mishra, Mimoh Chakraborty and Zarina Wahab in supporting roles. 

During the trailer launch event, talking about his upcoming film, Nawazuddin mentioned, "The script of Jogira Sara Ra Ra is quite entertaining and most of the cast in the film are known to me as they have been with me since my theatre days in Delhi. When you will watch it then you will realise that it is a family movie and it has a lot of laughter. It's not something which I usually do. All kinds of audiences can enjoy this film including kids, old, married couples, friends and even brothers and sisters."

"I have a special reason to work in Jogira Sara Ra Ra as most of the films that I get are dark films due to my skin colour (laughs). But this film is not like that, you can go and watch it fearlessly. Another reason to work in this movie is my association with the director Kushan Nandy, with whom I worked in Babumoshai Bandookbaaz as well. Our chemistry is great, we even understand each other's gestures that well," he added.

Written by Ghalib Asad Bhopali, the anticipated flick is bankrolled by Kiran Shroff and Naeem Siddiqui under Touchwood Multimedia Creations in association with AA Films. Meanwhile, the cinematography is done by Sourabh Waghmare, while Virendra Gharse has done the editing in the film.

Jogira Sara Ra Ra is slated to have a theatrical release on May 12.
