Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was last seen in Heropanti 2, recently walked the red carpet at Cannes.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was one of the stars that walked the red carpet of the Cannes International Film Festival. While the actor was grabbing headlines for his red carpet looks, it was also announced that he will be part of an international production titled Laxman Lopez. The latest update about the US indie film is about when its filming would start.
The actor recently took to Instagram to share photos of the director Roberto Girault, and writer Sammy Sarzoza while explaining that he has finished the virtual reading of the film’s script and that they are thinking about filming during the Christmas Month in New York.
Touted to be a Christmas-themed film, further details about the film’s casting have not been announced. Director Girault has previously helmed movies such as La Leyenda Del Diamante, Los Arboles Mueren de Pie and El Estudiante.
The Gangs of Wasseypur actor had opened up about why he decided to take up the challenge and what attracted him towards the project.
“The narration had me excited for multiple reasons. For starters, the opportunity to work in a Christmas movie is something very different and immediately had my attention. The director, Roberto Girault, has shown his power and command over the camera,” the actor previously said in a statement as reported by Indian Express.
Siddiqui also stated that the film could bring out a new side of him as an actor and that the film’s title also made him instantly curious. The US indie production is backed by Lalit Bhatnagar.
Siddiqui was last seen playing the antagonist in Heropanti 2 with Tiger Shroff in the lead. The movie received negative reviews and failed to impress at the box office as well. The actor also has a number of movies in the pipeline including Tiku Weds Sheru, Noorani Chehra, and Adbhut.
