Nayanthara was the first choice to play the female lead in Chiranjeevi’s new film with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam director Anil Ravipudi. The makers initially approached her, but she shocked everyone by quoting a whopping ₹12 crore as her fee. The producers stepped back and began looking for another actress.

However, Nayanthara’s team initiated another round of negotiations, and the star heroine eventually signed the film. We at OTTplay have learned that Nayanthara has agreed to do the film for just ₹6 crore, her lowest remuneration in recent times. This surprising move has left many wondering why she accepted such a reduced amount.
According to a source close to the production, the Aramm actress, Nayanthara, was impressed with her role, which presents her in a youthful avatar after a long time. Additionally, her screen time in the film is limited, making the reduced fee more justifiable. A major reason behind her decision is director Anil Ravipudi, who has never delivered a flop in his career so far.
Interestingly, Nayanthara also shot a promotional video to announce her entry into the project. Moreover, she has promised the makers that she will actively participate in the film's promotions across the Telugu states.

All of this was made possible due to director Anil Ravipudi, who personally met Nayanthara multiple times and convinced her to come on board and adjust her fee for the Manchi Donga star, Chiranjeevi's film.

Bheems Ceciroleo will compose the music for the film, which is scheduled for a Sankranthi 2026 release. The makers plan to complete the shoot within the next five months and release the film on January 13, 2026.
