Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan visit Tirumala a day after their wedding

Newly married couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan were seen in Tirupati today, a day after their high-profile wedding. The Lady Superstar and director were seen walking hand-in-hand as they entered the premises of the temple. While Nayanthara looked gorgeous in a yellow sari accessorised with a beautiful choker and earrings, Vignesh Shivan was seen in a veshti-sattai. Vignesh Shivan had earlier stated at a press conference that they had first decided to get married in Tirupati, but they couldn't go ahead due to logistics issues. They eventually got married at a private resort in Mahabalipuram with close friends and family in attendance. Superstar Rajinikanth is said to have blessed the couple.

The wedding was attended by the likes of Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan (who will be starring with Nayanthara in her maiden Bollywood film, Jawan), Ajith, Shalini, Vijay, Suriya, Karthi, Mani Ratnam, KS Ravikumar, Hari, Mohan Raja, Jayam Ravi, Anirudh Ravichander, Atlee, Sarathkumar and Radikaa, Divyadarshini to name a few. Their wedding has been the talk of the town since the last week and the duo aptly got married under a glasshouse mantapam, specially erected for the big occasion. 

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan met each other on the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015). While the film was directed by Vignesh, Nayanthara played the leading lady in it and Vijay Sethupathi the leading man. Taking to his social media page, Vignesh Shivan shared the first picture of them as man and wife, and captioned it, "On a scale of 10…She’s Nayan & am the One ☝️☺️😍🥰 With God’s grace , the universe , all the blessings of our parents & best of friendsJus married #Nayanthara ☺️😍🥰 #WikkiNayan #wikkinayanwedding (sic)." Vignesh and Nayanthara had last worked together in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which released last month. The film also had Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha playing the lead and had music by Anirudh Ravichander.
