Lady Superstar Nayanthara has announced her next. The actress will be playing the lead in Mannangatti Since 1960, which is written and directed by Dude Vicky. Prince Pictures, which is bankrolling the film, made the announcement on its official social media handle. "Presenting the First Look Motion Poster of #MANNANGATTIsince1960 starring Lady Superstar #Nayanthara. Shoot begins soon (sic)!"

A peek into the first-look video
The motion poster shows a small temple in the middle of a forest, which is surrounded by the divine spear of Lord Muruga. We see a blindfolded sculpture of a woman, who holds a balance in her hand. Going by the film's motion poster, it looks like Nayanthara plays the Lady of Justice. Right next to the sculpture is a collection box and rupee notes. The poster also shows an inscription where the name of the donor is mentioned, and it's one person called Mannangatti. The film is set in the 1960s.

Cast and crew
The film also stars Yogi Babu, Devadarshini, Gouri Kishan and Narendra Prasath. While the music is by Sean Roldan, cinematography is by RD Rajasekhar ISC and editing by G Madan. While the art direction is by Milan, Anu Vardhan is handling the costumes. Mannangatti is bankrolled by A Venkatesh and S Lakshman Kumar.

Nayanthara soaks in the success of Jawan
Meanwhile, the Lady Superstar is basking in the success of her maiden venture in Bollywood, Jawan. The film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, also marks the Hindi debut of director Atlee and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

Jawan also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priya Mani, Sunil Grover, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. Jawan has been setting the box office on fire ever since its release. The film has already minted Rs 439 crore in India and Rs 735.02 crores worldwide.
