The film, directed by YouTuber Dude Vicky, has Nayanthara and Yogi Babu sharing screen space
A brand new picture of Lady Superstar Nayanthara from the set of her upcoming film, Mannangatti since 1960, has taken the internet by storm. The shoot for the film is in full swing and the makers recently dropped a BTS picture, in which Nayanthara is seen looking at the shot through the lens. The first schedule was held in Kodaikanal.
What's Mannangatti since 1960 about?
The film, directed by YouTuber Dude Vicky, has Nayanthara and Yogi Babu sharing screen space after their super hit flick, Kolamavu Kokila. The supporting star cast comprises Devadarshini, Gouri Kishan, Narendra Prasath, and others. The word 'mannangatti' is an expression to convey frustration or disappointment.
Motion poster hints at a period drama
The motion poster dropped by the team hints at a period drama set in the '60s. The poster shows the visuals of the Lady of Justice in the witness stand in the middle of a dense forest, followed by a close-up of blindfolded eyes and a transition to Nayanthara's eyes. Right next to the Lady of Justice is a collection box and rupee notes. The poster shows an inscription where the name of the donor is mentioned as Mannangatti.
Music for the film is by Sean Roldan, whose Jinguradhanga from Modern Love Chennai has become a chartbuster. Cinematography is by RD Rajasekhar ISC and editing for the film by G Madan. While the art direction is by Milan, Anu Vardhan is handling the costumes. Mannangatti is bankrolled by A Venkatesh and S Lakshman Kumar.
