While Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim has only done a handful of projects after her wedding, there’s surely no stopping the Ohm Shaanti Oshana star. After her pivotal roles in Anjali Menon’s Koode and Anwar Rasheed’s Trance, the actress signed Nani’s upcoming Telugu Ante Sundaraniki and has now completed its dubbing.
The movie, which marks the actress’ Telugu debut, is a romcom, written and directed by Vivek Athreya. Nazriya took to her social media page on Sunday to thank the filmmaker for making her journey into Telugu cinema exciting.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better guide and eventually becoming the dearest friend throughout this journey (sic),” Nazriya wrote, adding that she loved working with the director in the film. The actress also said that she is proud of what the team has achieved. “I’m so proud and happy and overwhelmed by the film we have all made together during these uncertain times,” she posted, adding that she is going to miss playing Leela Thomas from the movie.
The makers of the movie had earlier this month, on Holi, revealed the first look poster of Nazriya’s character Leela Thomas. “A photographer by profession, and a girl who sails in the ocean of her dreams,” is how they described the character.
Ante Sundaraniki, which also has Harsha Vardhan, Rahul Ramakrishna, Nadiya Moidu, Rohini and Naresh, had wrapped up shooting earlier this year. The movie is currently scheduled to hit theatres on June 10.
Meanwhile, in February, Nazriya had put up a social media post thanking her co-star Nani for being the “biggest cheerleader and the sweetest co-actor” on the sets of the movie. “You have become family to us,” she wrote. Earlier this year, there was also a rumour that Nazriya was set to work with Anjali Menon again, after Bangalore Days and Koode. There has been no official confirmation regarding this.
