NBK108: Nandamuri Balakrishna, Kajal Aggarwal’s film joins the Dussehra race

Looks like the release-date announcement spree in Telugu cinema hasn’t ended yet! After Sankranthi, another festival that witnesses a slew of Telugu releases annually is Dussehra and this time too, the scenario is no different. Ram Pothineni’s next with Boyapati Srinu and Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao have already confirmed their berth for Dussehra recently.

Another much-awaited film is joining the biggies this festive season. NBK108, the action entertainer, directed by Anil Ravipudi, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Kajal Aggarwal and Sreeleela, will release for Dussehra, the makers confirmed today. “దశమి కి ఆయుధపూజ. This Vijayadashami make a way for the Natasimham to conquer the evil forts. #NBK108 Title & Release Date Soon,” the director wrote.

While all the films may eat into each other’s business prospects, the monumental clash among Ram Pothineni, Ravi Teja and Balakrishna will however be a good news for viewers. Both the films of Ram and Ravi Teja, directed by Boyapati Srinu and Vamsee, are pan-Indian releases with huge money riding on them in multiple languages. Balakrishna’s presence in this contest only makes the scenario juicier.

With NBK108, S Thaman is working on his third film with Balakrishna, after scoring two successes Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy. C Ram Prasad, who cranked the camera for Akhanda, is the cinematographer. Rajeevan is the production designer while V Venkat is the stunt director. Tammiraju, who teamed up with director Anil Ravipudi for F3, is the editor.

Sreeleela is touted to play Balakrishna’s on-screen daughter in NBK108, with Kajal cast as his romantic interest. Sarathkumar essays another crucial role in the actioner. The first look of the untitled film opened to good responses recently. Balakrishna’s Sankranthi release, Veera Simha Reddy is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
