When a journalist asked director Anil Ravipudi on how he writes the scripts of his films with big stars, he said, “I make sure I watch the last film of the star and be aware of not repeating any tropes from it. It also has to be different from my previous film as a director. Only when you go beyond the obvious, will you be able to meet the expectations of audiences.”
It looks like he’s sticking to his statement as he’s making his next action entertainer with Nandamuri Balakrishna, produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi of Shine Screens, tentatively titled NBK108. Sreeleela, Kajal Aggarwal play prominent roles in the film as well. Arjun Rampal makes his Telugu debut as an antagonist with the film that also stars Sarath Kumar in a key character.
Commemorating Balakrishna’s birthday, the makers of NBK108 officially revealed the film’s title today. The film is titled Bhagavanth Kesari and even has a caption that reads ‘I don’t care’, offering a glimpse of the character. The Akhanda star is seen in a salt-and-pepper avatar, sporting a brown kurta and formal pants in addition to a stole around his neck besides wearing a bracelet and a watch.
He has a weapon in his hand that has been pinned to the ground with intensity in the middle of a grand action sequence. Bhagavanth Kesari was launched right in December 2022 while it went on floors in the first half of this year. S Thaman scores the music for the film while C Ram Prasad is the cinematographer. Tammiraju and Rajeevan are the editor, production designer respectively.
Bhagvanth Kesari is set to release for Dussehra this year, where it’ll be locking horns with two other biggies Tiger Nageswara Rao, headlined by Ravi Teja, in addition to Boyapati Sreenu’s next with Ram Pothineni. Interestingly, if the Balakrishna starrer decides to stick to its release date, Sreeleela will have two releases in the same weekend. The latter is paired opposite Ram in Boyapati’s film.
