NBK108: Sarathkumar joins the shoot of Balakrishna’s next with director Anil Ravipudi

Balakrishna is finally associating with filmmakers and projects that do justice to his stardom. Akhanda changed everything for the star and made him more relevant to gen-Z than ever before. The film, in addition to his talk show, Unstoppable, took him another step closer to the masses. While his next is Veera Simha Reddy, set to release for Sankranthi, he is teaming up with Anil Ravipudi for another action entertainer, tentatively titled #NBK108, that was formally launched recently.

Produced by Shine Screens, #NBK108 also features Dhamaka actress Sreeleela in a key role. Several actresses are in talks to play the female lead in the project. Meanwhile, Anil Ravipudi shared an interesting update about the film’s lineup. Popular Tamil actor Sarathkumar is the latest addition to team #NBK108. Confirming the news, the director wrote, “Very Glad to be working with the incredibly versatile actor, dearest @realsarathkumar sir in #NBK108 😀 He is fit & fab as usual 🤗🤗”

Interestingly, Sarathkumar’s better half and actress Radhika made an appearance in an episode from the second season of Balakrishna’s Unstoppable with NBK on aha, where the actors had a gala time pulling each other’s legs. Composer S Thaman is associating with Balakrishna for #NBK108, the third time after Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy. Balakrishna hasn’t officially announced a film after #NBK108. However, films like Aditya 999 and Akhanda 2 are in the pipeline. 

Anil Ravipudi’s comedy entertainer F3, the sequel to his F2: Fun and Frustration, starring Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Mehreen Kaur and Tamannaah, released in May earlier this year. Despite opening to decent responses from critics, the film didn’t perform as per expectations at the box office.
