NBK109, directed by Bobby Kolli, is currently under production. Headlined by Balayya aka Nandamuri Balakrishna, the film will also star Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in a key role
The first-half schedule of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming action drama NBK109 (tentative title) has been wrapped up. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the first schedule of the film has been completed. According to Telugu reports, fifty percent of the film’s portions have been shot. Headlined by Balayya aka Nandamuri Balakrishna, the upcoming film will also star Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in a pivotal role, while Animal star Bobby Deol will be essaying the role of the antagonist. Although sources say that Dulquer will be playing Balayya’s son, few claim that his character will be something special.
After his 2023 blockbuster Bhagavanth Kesari, Telugu superstar Balayya’s next project NBK 109 is touted to be a complete high-octane actioner. Although the makers of the film have been tight-lipped about the vital details, it is presumed that the film is set to be yet another actioner on the superstar’s filmography. Earlier, the makers of the film had unveiled a poster from the film to mark the commencement of the film shooting. The poster featured Lord Hanuman’s amulet hung on an axe with a pair of shades. This update created buzz among the Telugu fans who were captivated by the poster’s phrases like “Blood Bath's Brand Identity” and “Violence as a Calling Card,” suggesting yet another high-octane film from Balayya.
On the occasion of Sankranthi, Netflix revealed that it had purchased the digital rights of the Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer and will be available for streaming after its theatrical release.
Although the theatrical release has not been announced, it is believed that the Balayya-starrer is expected to hit the big screens during Sankranti 2025. However, if the dates are confirmed, there are high chances of Chiranjeevi's fantasy magnum opus Vishwambhara clashing with Balayya’s actioner. If that happens, fans will witness yet another clash of superstar films during the next festive season.
