NCB files chargesheet against Bharti Singh, Haarsh Limbachiyaa in court

A 200-page chargesheet has been filed against comedian Bharti Singh, husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa by the Mumbai branch of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) before the court in a two-year-old drugs case.

Comedian Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa are in legal trouble as NCB (Mumbai branch) has filed a 200-page chargesheet against the celebrity couple in court in a two-year-old drug case, according to a report by Hindustan Times. 

For the uninitiated, Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa were arrested back in 2020 in drug-related charges and the pair is currently out on bail.

Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa are also parents to six-month-old baby boy, Lakshya. In November of 2020, the couple was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after seizure of ganja (cannabis) from their Andheri house. At the time, NCB had mentioned that a total of 86.5 gram of cannabis was recovered from the couple's house in a raid that was conducted by the NCB. 

“Both Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of Ganja," ANI had quoted NCB back then. The raid was carried out as part of an probe by the NCB into alleged abuse of drugs use in Bollywood, an NCB official had said.

The couple was granted bail after two days by the magistrate court, their bond was set on 15,000 rupees each. Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa were booked under sections 20(b)(ii)(A) (involves small quantity of drugs) and 8(c) (possession of drugs) and 27 (consumption of drugs) of the NDPS Act.
