Malayalam star Tovino Thomas has always maintained that he loves travel and would rather choose locations that have him closer to nature than urban cities. His latest vacation spots tick all those boxes and more.

The actor, who wrapped up the first schedule of Anveshippin Kandethum, headed to Africa with his family this past weekend. Since arriving in the continent, the actor’s been posting photos and videos that are sure to stoke the adventure junkie in everyone.

Tovino, who is on a 10-day break with his wife and two children, reached Botswana during the weekend and posted videos from his jungle safari as well as a close encounter with a lioness. On Wednesday, the actor shared a video of his bungee jump at the Victoria Falls that straddle both Zimbabwe and Zambia.

“A fall from the world’s largest water that falls, the Victoria falls. A fall from Zimbabwe and bouncing back up in Zambia. A giant leap of faith from the bridge across the mighty Zambezi River. A true life-changing adrenaline rush, living it and loving it,” posted the actor, sharing the video of the jump on his Instagram page.

Tovino, who has been shooting non-stop since October last year for movies such as Adrishya Jalakangal, Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Anveshippin Kandethum, is expected to return to India on April 17 and immediately join the promotions of his upcoming movies – Aashiq Abu’s Neelavelicham and Jude Anthany Joseph’s 2018.

The actor’s first release this month will be Neelavelicham, which has him essaying the role of a writer. Roshan Mathew and Rima Kallingal play the other pivotal characters in the period drama based on Vaikom Muhammed Basheer’s eponymous story that had served as an inspiration for Malayalam’s first horror movie Bhargavinilayam.

2018, meanwhile, boasts of an ensemble cast including Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali and Vineeth Sreenivasan and revolves around the 2018 Kerala floods.
