Popular television actors Pallabi Sharma and Rubel Das joined hands in the latest television project, Neem Phuler Modhu, in Zee Bangla. The serial will be premiered on the channel on November 14 and will be aired at 8 pm. In fact, it has replaced Mithai which will now be aired at 6 pm, replacing Pilu. On Friday, the team of the new serial gathered at a press meeting to make the final announcement. The show also features Lily Chakraborty, Arijita Mukherjee, Biswanath Basu, Sharbani Roy, and several others in different characters.

The serial delves into the post-marriage hurdles of the heroine. According to the makers, the serial will focus on the first year of marriage. In a press statement, they mentioned, “The protagonists are complete opposites in their outlook towards life. The story also portrays the evolution of a common young Bengali girl through her interpersonal relationships with two generations which are Shashuri ma (mother-in-law) and Didi-Shashuri ma (husband’s grandmother) while living in a joint family. As the story progresses, Parna – the heroine – combats all the challenges she faces in her in-law’s family.”

On the other hand, Samrat Ghosh, Chief Cluster Officer, East, informed, “The new pairing of Rubel with Pallavi adds a refreshing touch to the star cast which also comprises veteran actress Lily Chakraborty and other renowned actors. This is an ambitious project from the Zee Bangla house and we expect a warm response from our viewers.”

Neem Phuler Modhu is incepted when the TRP of Mithai plummeted miserably after years of ruling the chart. Navnita Chakraborty, Business Head of the channel, said, “The show brings to life how paths of two diametrically opposite individuals cross through an arranged marriage where they fall in love with each other. During her journey as a housewife, the protagonist transforms Srijan from a chauvinist mama's boy to a loving, caring, and understanding human being. The onscreen chemistry between the lead paid is going to be one of the major highlights of this mega serial.”

Neem Phuler Modhu, produced by Zee Bangla, will go on air from November 14, every day at 8 pm.
