Neeraj Pandey has returned as a producer once again, this time remaking the Malayalam movie, Ishq. The director has now talked about the reasons for making a movie about moral policing.
Talking to Indian Express, the filmmaker said that they are talking about a situation and are putting up a topic for discussion. He added that what happens next does not bother him.
“If it resonates strongly, then why not talk about it? That’s the simple agenda of making a film. Everyone has the power of opinion. Fair enough.” He further added that they are doing their job of telling a good story and a topic that needs to be discussed.
The filmmaker also talked about the cast of the film, saying that it added a visual of a fresh casting to the movie. He reveals that the first time Sharad Kelkar auditioned for him was for Rustom, and he had been waiting for a film to work with him. Bhumika Chawla, on the other hand, appeared in Pandey's MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
