Neeyat teaser: Vidya Balan turns detective, investigates a murder at a billionaire's party

Neeyat, the much-anticipated theatrical release of Vidya Balan's film, offered a glimpse into the mysterious universe that it depicts. In advance of tomorrow's presentation of the movie trailer, the filmmakers released an intriguing teaser for the movie along with 11 character images.

In the teaser, we are introduced to Vidya Balan's character, detective Mira Rao, as well as the 10 suspects. In spite of the fact that the teaser provides us with a glimpse into the mysterious realm of the murder mystery, each of the posters portrays an attractive image of the characters, which tremendously raises the level of anticipation for the trailer.

Anu Menon, who most recently directed Vidya Balan in the superhit film Shakuntala Devi in 2020, which was based on the life and times of the lady who was known as the human computer, is in charge of directing the classic whodunit. Recent directorial projects for which Anu Menon was responsible include many episodes of the critically acclaimed British television series Killing Eve. The writers of Neeyat are Anu Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani, with dialogue by Kausar Munir.

Neeyat is a gripping suspense story about an unlikely detective (Vidya Balan) who investigates a mysterious murder at a billionaire's party where nothing is as it seems and all suspects hide a secret or two. Prime Video and the Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment, which also produced Shakuntala Devi, co-produced the movie.

Talking about Vidya Balan, the actor's last few outings have been on OTT, including the short film Natkhat on Voot, Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, and Jalsa on Prime Video.

The actor also has a romantic drama film titled Lovers in which she co-stars with Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ileana D'Cruz, and Pratik Gandhi. The release date of the film has yet to be announced.
