Neha Dhupia celebrates 17 years of Chup Chup Ke with a ‘serendipitous surprise’

It was exactly today’s date (June 9) in the year 2006, when a film titled ‘Chup Chup Ke’ had got released. In other words, the film ‘Chup Chup Ke’ celebrates its seventeenth anniversary of the release. Besides the film’s lead pair Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, there was also Neha Dhupia, who played an important role in the film. Today was indeed a happy day for the inimitable Neha Dhupia. The reason being that, while on one hand, she had just wrapped up a heartfelt conversation with her long-time friend and co-star Shahid Kapoor, on the other hand, she got an intimation on social media informing about the film ‘Chup Chup Ke’ celebrating its seventeenth anniversary of its release.

Speaking about her surprise, Neha Dhupia just couldn't contain her joy. In a media statement, she said, "It's absolutely surreal to celebrate 17 years of 'Chup Chup Ke' today. This film holds a special place in my heart, and I'm overwhelmed by the love and support it has received over the years. Coincidentally, my conversation with Shahid, my dear friend of 25 years, perfectly coincided with this milestone, making it even more extraordinary. We shared incredible memories, both on and off the sets, and those will always be cherished."

On the other hand, Neha Dhupia also fondly spoke about her equation with ‘Mama’, which happens to be the nickname of Kareena Kapoor Khan as given by Neha Dhupia. While recalling their time on the sets of the film ‘Chup Chup Ke’, Neha Dhupia expressed her admiration for Kareena Kapoor Khan's talent and her warm, nurturing nature, which made the filming experience truly memorable.

The film ‘Chup Chup Ke’ was directed by the prolific film maker Priyadarshan in the year 2006. The film starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor in the leading roles.
