Ganesh Bellamkonda, son of producer Bellamkonda Suresh and brother to Telugu, Hindi actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas, forayed into the industry with the feel-good family entertainer Swathimuthyam last year. His second release as a lead actor was Nenu Student Sir, helmed by debutant Rakhil Uppalapati. Satish Varma bankrolled the film under SV2 Entertainments.

Nenu Student Sir, after multiple postponements, released in theatres in the first week of June this year. The film opened to disastrous reviews all over, with critics and audiences ridiculing it for its poor writing and haywire execution. On the commercial front too, the thriller couldn’t make much of an impact in theatres. After its theatrical run, the film is now out on OTT.

Leading Telugu, Tamil OTT platform aha acquired its post-theatrical streaming rights and decided to premiere it this Friday. Samuthirakani, Sunil, Srikanth Iyengar, Auto Ramprasad, Charandeep, Pramodhini and Ravi Sivateja play other important roles in the film. Popular writer-director Krishna Chaitanya, who’s now working on a project with Vishwak Sen, wrote the story for this project.

The story centres on Subbu, a young college student who harbours a single-minded ambition to possess iPhone. Just when his dream comes true and he acquires it, fate takes an unexpected turn. A notification appears on Subbu's phone, revealing a staggering sum of Rs 1.75 crores credited to his bank account. However, Subbu finds himself entangled in a sinister web of a murder accusation.

This unfortunate circumstance thrusts the innocent youth into trouble. The ensuing tale delves into Subbu's relentless pursuit to unveil the truth and clear his name, as he fights against all odds to prove his innocence. Mahati Swara Sagar scored the music for the film whose crew comprises cinematographer Anith Madhadi, editor Chota K Prasad. Kalyan Chakravarthy wrote the dialogues.
