The business reality show aims to foster the growth of female entrepreneurs
Telugu-Tamil OTT platform aha is back in the news for a new show. Their next is Nenu Super Woman, a business reality show, touted to be the biggest in the genre in the South Indian entertainment industry. The pathbreaking initiative aims to foster the growth of entrepreneurial ventures founded by women, further their financial independence and give a much-needed push to female entrepreneurs.
Nenu Super Woman goes beyond mentoring programs and offers its contestants a unique blend of guidance and firsthand experience. It will be hosted by musician, actor Sreerama Chandra, who was earlier part of the first season of aha’s music reality show Telugu Indian Idol as well. The show offers an opportunity to aspirant women entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to business leaders - referred to as ‘angels’.
The first-of-its-kind show will have the host Sreeram Chandra taking the contestants through the nuanced pitch process. Post a rigorous selection process, 40 candidates - Super Women - will present their ideas directly to the ‘angels’. After careful evaluation of the pitches and the final presentations, angels will extend offers, the show-creators state.
The ‘angels’ participating in the show are popular entrepreneurs across various arenas/industries, including who have made their mark in their respective industries - Rohit Chennamaneni (Co-Founder of Darwinbox), Sridhar Gadhi (Founder and Executive Chairman of Quantela Inc), Renuka Bodla (Venture Partner of Silverneedle Ventures), Sudhakar Reddy (Founder and CEO of Abhi Bus), Dodla Deepa Reddy (Dodla Dairy), and Sindhura Ponguru (Narayana Group). They’re set to invest in startups, nurture diverse, aspiring entrepreneurs.
The premiere date of Nenu Super Woman will be announced shortly. The makers hope the show could usher in a new era of entrepreneurship, inspiring several women to pursue their dreams. Aha’s latest release this weekend is Ardhamayyinda Arun Kumar, starring Harshith Reddy, Ananya Sharma and Tejaswi Madivada.
