The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film, Nerariyum Nerathu, have confirmed the postponement of its theatrical release. The movie will hit the big screen on June 13.
The thriller, which stars Abhiram Radhakrishnan in the lead role, was earlier slated to release on May 30, but was postponed due to unknown reasons. It is safe to assume that the delay is due to the release of Listen Stephen's Moonwalk as well as the successful run of some other films such as Tovino Thomas' Narivetta, Mohanlal's Thudarum and Dhyan Sreenivasan's Detective Ujjwalan.
If released on the said date, Nerariyum Nerathu will hit the big screen with Anaswara Rajan-starrer Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal and Dileesh Pothan's Ronth. While Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal is a fun-filled family entertainer, Ronth is touted to be a riveting thriller.
The main character of the movie is Aparna, an ambitious MBBS student from a wealthy family who defies family pressure and social expectations to marry Sunny, who is from a lower-income family. Their life starts to stabilise, but Ashwin's unexpected appearance upends everything and sends her into mental turmoil. The core of the movie is a compelling tale of strength and resilience as Aparna overcomes unforeseen obstacles while being led by a mission that only she fully comprehends. The female lead in Nerariyum Nerathu is Fara Shibla.
Abhiram is well-known for his appearance in films like Jan.E.Man and Anjaam Pathiraa, while Fara rose to fame with Asif Ali's O.P.160/18 Kakshi: Amminippilla.
Numerous real-life incidents are cited as inspiration for Nerariyum Nerathu. Ranjith G V is the director of the film. The film's screenplay was written by the director himself. Kala Subramanyan, Rajesh Azhikodan, and Swathi Das Prabhu also play important parts. The movie is being supported by S Chidambarakrishnan under the Veni Productions' banner. T S Vishnu has composed the soundtrack for the movie. Udhayan Ambady is the cinematographer and Manu Shaju has helmed the edit works.
