The film's protagonist is Aparna, a MBBS student from an affluent family who wants to marry Sunny, someone from of a lower-class family, despite social pressure and familial prejudice. Their life begins to settle down but Ashwin's sudden entrance throws everything into disarray and causes her to experience emotional anguish. As Aparna overcomes unanticipated challenges while being guided by a mission that only she fully understands, the film's central story is one of courage and resiliency. Fara Shibla plays the female lead in Nerariyum Nerathu.

Known for his roles in films like Jan.E.Man and Anjaam Pathiraa, Abhiram most recently had a supporting role in Thalavara, which is available on Amazon Prime Video and OTTplay Premium with a top-up option. Fara became well-known thanks to Asif Ali's O.P.160/18 Kakshi: Amminippilla. Various actual events are mentioned as sources of inspiration for Nerariyum Nerathu. The film's director is Ranjith G. V.
