Actor Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph’s ambitious film Neru is gearing up for its theatrical release on December 21. The makers of the film have now announced the trailer release date of the courtroom drama, which also stars Priyamani and Anaswara Rajan in lead roles.
Mohanlal took to his X handle to share that the trailer will be released tomorrow (December 9). Along with the trailer release date, the actor shared a brand-new poster from the film. The poster showcases the Drishyam star as an advocate, which he is playing onscreen after 13 years.

Although the makers of the film have not revealed much about the plot of the film, the synopsis was allegedly leaked online and had been circulated widely on social media. According to the leaked synopsis, Neru is a gripping legal drama that unfolds with the tale of Sara, a visually impaired sculpture artist who seeks justice after a traumatic incident. The story takes viewers on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, deceit, and redemption. Going by the synopsis, it is speculated that Sara is played by Anaswara Rajan and the movie centres around her character.

According to the most recent reports, Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the digital rights to Neru. Asianet has reportedly paid a significant sum for the satellite rights to Mohanlal's film. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
