Netflix revealed the release date and the new poster for its upcoming film ‘Worth’, which is set against the backdrop of the infamous 9/11 incident and the events that followed. It will be out on the digital platform on September 3.

The movie is directed by Sara Colangelo, who has filmed ‘The Kindergarten Teacher’ in the past. The project’s story is by screenwriter Max Borenstein, based on the non-fiction book, titled ‘What is Life Worth? The Unprecedented Effort to Compensate the Victims of 9/11’ written by Kenneth Feinberg.

The movie is said to be revolving around the real stories of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. Following the horrifying terror attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon in the US in 2001, the Congress appointed Feinberg, an attorney and a popular mediator, to lead the fund. In his attempts to find compensation for over five thousand people who are on the verge of health problems and suffering from death of loved ones, Feinberg goes through emotional baggage while trying to deal with the issues.

The film stars Michael Keaton, who plays Feinberg, and the other cast includes Amy Ryan, Tate Donovan, Shunori Ramanathan, Talia Balsam, Laura Benanti, Marc Maron, Ato Blankson-Wood, Chris Tardio, Carolyn Mignini and Victor Slezak.

Worth is said to have received a lot of appreciation and positive reviews when it premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The strong performance of Keaton was also applauded by many.
