Shawn Levy and Nick Jonas produced Netflix's holiday romantic comedy series Dash & Lily will not be returning for the second season. The series which dropped on the streaming platform in 2020 features Austin Abrams and Midori Francis in the lead roles. Dash & Lily is based on Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan. When the series was released, it received a positive response among the masses as it witnessed a couple going old school to have their meet-cute moment.

The makers described the premise of Dash & Lily as "A whirlwind Holiday romance builds as cynical Dash and optimistic Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City, finding they have more in common with each other than they would have expected."

Dash & Lily also features Dante Brown and Troy Iwata in supporting roles. The series is created by Joe Tracz and the first season had eight episodes.

Interestingly, Nick Jonas along with Jonas Brothers had a special appearance in the series finale much to the excitement of the fans.

Talking about getting involved in the project, Nick had earlier told ET Online, "The thing I was drawn to most about this project, there were a few things. One of them is my love for New York City. I spent a lot of time there in New York and Broadway doing shows. And then as I got older, I lived in between New York and LA for a number of years. I have a romantic view of it."

Earlier this year, Jodi Long won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program at Daytime Emmy Awards. The series also won Outstanding Writing Team for a Daytime Fiction Program, while Liz Coakley, Jacqueline Bensaid and Rebecca Levine bagged Outstanding Makeup for a Drama or Daytime Fiction Program.
