Many years ago, the late film maker Prakash Mehra had made a film titled ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’ that starred the unbeatable combo of Amitabh Bachchan and (the late) Vinod Khanna along with legendary actors like Raakhee, Rekha, Ranjeet and Amjad Khan. Keeping in tune with Bollywood’s ‘twist of fate’ mantra, film maker Neeraj Pandey has attempted a twist of title with his latest offering ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’. The title of the same was announced by the OTT major Netflix today, along with a host of other titles.
Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’!
The officials of Netflix India took to social media today and announced Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’. The title announcement was in the form of shadows of two men on whom mirrors the busy life of a hustling and bustling city with traffic passing without a pause.
"Dil thaam ke baithiye, kahi chori na ho jaaye"
The post was with the caption that stated, ‘Dil thaam ke baithiye, kahi chori na ho jaaye Sikandar ka Muqaddar is coming soon, only on Netflix! #SikandarKaMuqaddar #SikandarKaMuqaddarOnNetflix #NextOnNetflixIndia’. The makers, however, did not divulge any other information besides the quirky yet intriguing title.
No sooner than the said post was seen on social media, the netizens were seen all praises for Neeraj Pandey. The comments section was almost full of messages that stated, ‘Neeraj Pandey…the name is enough’. Besides this, there was also one netizen who posted ‘Neeraj Pandey is back and how’. Another user wrote, ‘Just as when I was thinking that the OTT platforms will now soon become a barren land because of the dearth of good quality and well researched stories, bang came Netflix with not one, but two of Neeraj Pandey’s offerings in the form of ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’ as well as ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’.
Speaking of Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’, just like Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’, there was no reveal or disclosure about the starcast of both the shows. Watch this space for further developments.
