If getting an exclusive behind-the-scenes special makes the experience of Netflix better for you, then you’re going to be delighted at the streaming giant considering a new project. Netflix is reportedly curating a new section on their platform, titled N-Plus, which is expected to feature exclusive content related to the movies and shows that are available for streaming.

The idea of N-Plus was sent to a select range of users by Netflix in a survey. This survey asked the users questions based on their interest in podcasts, user-generated playlists, how-tos and more. Thus, N-Plus could possibly include custom-made playlists based on songs that a user likes in a particular show or movie, in-memoriam pages, games, news, audience interactions and special podcasts.

Additionally, N-Plus subscribers will be able to influence the production of a pre-planned show by offering feedback on the plot and characters before Netflix invests in production costs. The survey mentions that users will get an opportunity to read about “a planned show (pre-production) and influence its development with feedback before filming has finished.”

The platform is also considering including reviews of TV shows and movies from users that will show up when people with similar viewing lists try to search for a title.

Another feature that is mentioned in the survey is the user’s ability to share custom playlists with their friends and family. If the person receiving the custom playlist link is not a member, they will only be allowed to view the trailer of the show or movie.

Netflix calls N-Plus a “future online space where you can learn more about the Netflix shows and things related to them.” The survey also highlights one aspect of the new feature - if a user searches for a show (or anything related to it) in Google, they might find links to that show that are sent to them by Netflix on text or in the app.

Though many of Netflix’s tested features don’t get incorporated into the final product, users who received the survey have largely encouraged the idea of N-Plus. Though N-Plus is expected to be a free service that will be available to all users, no confirmation has been made yet.
