The first season of Masaba Masaba debuted on Netflix in August of 2020. The first-of-its-kind slice-of-life series, starring Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta, was a semi-autobiographical look at the lives of the mother-daughter duo as they coped with the ups and downs of personal and professional life. The second season of the OTT series was released in July of last year. Now that season two has concluded, people can't wait for season three of Masaba Masaba. However, it seems like Netflix has cancelled plans for a third season, and there appears to be no hope for fans of the series.

Neena confirmed this in an interview with News18, saying that she wants to tell Netflix that it isn't fair that they didn't sanction the third season of Masaba Masaba. There are a lot of people who want to know when the next season will premiere, and they have no reason to ask me that. They got to spend a lot of time together while filming Masaba Masaba, which was their first on-screen collaboration as mother and daughter. They anticipated season three with great anticipation. Neena has no idea what Netflix's strategy is or what they hope to achieve with their original series. The veteran actor really hopes they do a third season.
However, when the portal asked Netflix about an update on the third season, they dismissed the allegation as false and stated that it would never be made. A source told the publication that Masaba Masaba's plot finished where it needed to at the end of season two. A third season was never planned or advertised.

They went on to say that there's no reason why a show that has done well in the past won't be approved. It wasn't made on the spur of the moment after filming concluded on Masaba Masaba Season 2. Mismatched, Kota Factory, Delhi Crime, and The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives have all been renewed for a third season on the service, and Class and Rana Naidu have both been renewed for a second season. Unfortunately, Masaba Masaba's time on stage is over.-
