Netflix releases the first trailer for Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans

The first trailer of Oscar award-winning filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro’s Netflix-DreamWorks collaboration film Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans is finally here. Confirming the release date as revealed by Del Toro previously, the animated epic movie will be premiering on Netflix on July 21 this year.

Set in an imaginary world created by Del Toro for his Emmy-award winning trilogy, Tales of Arcadia, this animated fantasy adventure revolves around the town of Arcadia. A seemingly ordinary town, Arcadia actually lies at the centre of magical and mystical lines, making it a nexus for battles between otherworldly creatures including trolls, aliens and even wizards. Teaming up, the heroes from the Trollhunter series take on their most epic adventure to fight against the Arcane Order to win control over the magic that binds them all.

The film has a huge line up of stars giving their voice for the characters that include Emile Hirsch, Lexi Medrano, Charlie Saxton, Kelsey Grammer, Alfred Molina, Steven Yeun, Nick Frost, Colin O’Donoghue, Diego Luna, Tatiana Maslany, Cole Sand, Nick Offerman and others.

The upcoming film is co-directed by Andrew L Schmidt, Francisco Ruiz Velasco and Johane Matte. The script is penned down by Del Toro along with Marc Guggenheim, Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman. Guillermo Del Toro, Marc Guggenheim, Chad Hammes, Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman have executive produced this project.
